Happy Mandela
Day

The theme for 2022 is:

Do what you can, with what you have, wherever you are.

Mandela Day is celebrated on July 18, it's not just a day for South Africans, but also adopted by the United Nations as an annual international day to celebrate and continue the legacy of Nelson Mandela. It is more than a celebration of Nelson Mandela’s life and legacy; it is a global movement to take his life’s work into a new era.

As South Africans we embrace the chance to celebrate Nelson Mandela’s life for the month of July.

Using Nelson Mandela’s own words: “It’s in your hands to make the world a better place.”

Revolutions Youth and Ignite Young will be joining Utho Ngathi in their monthly grocery & blanket delivery to families that the organisation assist.

(Revolutions Youth & Ignite Young Adults make sure to connect with your leader for more details)

Safe and Sound would love assistance with a donations of 60 Trays of seedlings (40 per tray) and/or 20 sets of Training Manuals (R700 per set)

The ECD sites plant the seedling for their own gardens, partly for education but also for food sustainability and income.

The Training manuals are for Level 4 learners that often can't afford the training manuals, so they borrow from Safe and Sound, but this is not ideal. Supplying enrolled learners with manuals will greatly enhance their training experience, would be invaluable as a resource for future qualifications and would impact self-esteem significantly.

If you would to get involved, email Safe and Sound below.
